Grading
All students will be graded for both their effort/participation and achievement.
ES=Excels at Standard/Expectation: Indicates that a
student performs exceptionally well when assessed on a specific standard or expectation. In some situations, children may be performing above grade level expectations.
MS=Meets standards/Expectations: Indicates that a student
shows proficiency with that standard and shows adequate understanding of grade-level content.
AS=Approaching Standards/Expectations: Indicates that a
student shows some understanding of the standard or expectation, but needs support or continued practice to show proficiency.
CA=Concern Area: Indicates that a student needs extensive
support with the standard or expectation. In some situations, even with support, the child is not able to show proficiency.
